Oregon Cannot Afford New Beverage Taxes
Some state legislators are at it again—proposing new beverage taxes.
House Bill 2331 would increase the price of all sodas, juice drinks, iced teas and fountain drinks and threaten our local restaurants, theaters, sporting venues and grocery stores.
A half-cent tax per ounce would increase the price of cases and twelve-packs by 10% and more – that’s on top of the deposit! That really adds up for Oregon families.
This is why we’re coming together to say “NO” to new beverage taxes.
The Oregon Coalition Against Beverage Taxes wants to send a message to all of our elected officials that we are strongly against any new taxes.
